Haiti day four: one month since the earthquake

The president of Haiti declared today and this weekend national holidays and days of prayer and fasting. We weren't sure what to expect at clinic, but the folks were out in full force, just in their
Sunday best! These two little girls are all gussied up and proudly showing off their new plush toys that used to reside in the Dollahon household.

Okay, at some point today I'm going to have to quit reading your blog and do my own work, but this is absolutely mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing your experience with those of us back here in the States. God be with you, Dr. Jarrell.

Sincerely,
Rabbi Sinclair

It's nice to see pictures that are uplifting, it's nice to read words that help strengthen your faith...
I have family that plan on helping in Haiti soon-(they have gone to help in Haiti before, and now they will help again)
-and still in Prayers for all

I'm so blessed to read all of this. I heard of you through Missy (I read her blog). This particular entry really blessed me. One to see these girls smiling, with dresses, and something to snuggle...in a place filled with so much devastation and pain. The other thing that REALLY blesses me is to hear of this declaration of a weekend of holidays and days of prayer and fasting. Praying many heed the call and that our God of mercy and grace -- who "relents at sending calamity" -- will open His ears to their cries...and heal their land...and bind up their brokenhearted.

The Lord bless & keep you...
